2. Those rights are newly defined when lawmakers make new laws.
3. Therefore, since rights are redefined by new laws, it is impossible for any new laws to infringe the rights of “law-abiding citizens”.

New laws cannot infringe the rights of the “law-abiding”, because those rights become whatever the new laws say they are.
