Today in 1863, the United States War Department ordained a specialized bureau for the purpose of the organization of black enlisted troops, The Bureau of Colored Troops.

I was NOT saying, ‘Next week everyone will wake up and it will be utopia!’ This regime will fall, and it will be violent and ugly. My point is that ultimately, revolutions are irrelevant, and mindset is what matters. If a country of statists knocks over one regime, they just put up another–usually a worse one. But when people understand and want real freedom, they won’t need to overthrow anything, because all ‘government’ power comes from the people IMAGINING legitimacy to the domination. — Larken Rose
